So about last night... SmackDown Live (21/11/2018)

So about last night and what a weird episode to follow on from Survivor Series.

The matches from Survivor Series didn’t even seem to matter and the sole survivors of the winning match were not even there.

Very crazy week in the WWE world, but let’s break it down per section.

SHARLIT? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Charlotte came out last night and cut a heel promo about what she did to Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series. Paige came out and said that because Charlotte put her hands on 5 WWE Officials, she was going to impose a fine of $100,000 to the 7-time Women’s Champion.

But instead of responding to it, The IIconics came out and cut a promo which ended up in 1v1 matches.

CHARLOTTE VS BILLIE KAY

Nothing match. SKIP

CHARLOTTE VS PEYTON ROYCE

Nothing match. SKIP

Seriously, after Paige fined Charlotte, there was no reason for the segment to continue. Waste of a half hour.

MIZ & SHANE MCMAHON ARE A TAG TEAM

Miz presented MizTV and Miz was sucking up to Shane after his performance during the Survivor Series match and wanted to become tag partners.

Miz had already spoken to Paige backstage about this and arranged to have a tag team match on the show.

The tag team that came out were jobbers but ended up winning by rolling up The Miz.

THANKSGIVING FEAST FIGHT!

Why? Why did this need to be a thing WWE? We could have done with a simple tag team match with a stip.

New Day defeated The Bar. After the bell, The New Day launched an ungodly amount of food towards Cesaro.

WOMEN’S TAG MATCH

Asuka & Naomi defeated Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose. Can anyone say SKIP?!

RIP YES MOVEMENT 2013 – 2018

Daniel Bryan came out and cut a fantastic promo about how he has moved on and that the new Daniel Bryan is not the Daniel Bryan that was about ‘Fighting for his dreams’ or ‘The Yes Movement’ – This is a new Daniel Bryan. A new side to Daniel as he is the WWE Champion.

Great promo. Would like to see where it goes from here. I personally suspect a repackage for Daniel as he goes into this era of Daniel Bryan.

REY & RANDY

Main Event and it’s Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton.

Restarting an old rivalry that began at WWE Crown Jewel, Randy defeated Rey and then proceeded to remove Rey’s mask. This will probably have a bigger match at WWE TLC PPV.

That is it for this week’s SmackDown. Up and Down show, but I am really interested in what happens with him in the next few weeks.
