So about last night... SmackDown Live (18/12/2018)

So about last night… or should we say 2 nights ago. I have been very busy hence I couldn’t make this post last night.

There will not be any spoilers for next weeks’ SmackDown here.

Introduction

Shane gathers the SmackDown roster to talk abotu what had happened on RAW the previous night. (Psst, you can read what happened last night here. So about last night… RAW (17/12/2018)

Paige is then removed from her General Manager role as part of this restructuring of RAW and SmackDown and that she would be involved in a new role. Details of this were not explained.

We start the show proper with Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and the NEW SmackDown Women’s Champion, Asuka.

Both Charlotte and Becky want revenge for what Ronda Rousey did at TLC on Sunday. But now the focus is on the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Out comes Vince McMahon to say some BS about Oppertunity.

Asuka was then forced to defend her SmackDown Women’s title against a former 2-time champion, Naomi!

Naomi vs Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Championship

Nothing match as it was just ad break after ad break. Asuka obviously retained..

Samoa Joe & Jeff Hardy

Samoa Joe wants to apologise, he then guns for Jeff but Jeff gets the upper hand. Shit feud, moving on!

The Miz & Mandy Rose vs The Fabulous Truth

SKIP!

SANITY & Gallows & Anderson

They are not dead. Thank the lord. I was getting worried that Sanity were going to be released after their call up to the main roster. It’s nice to see that there is someone taking on the top guys in the divsion.

Mustafa Ali & AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan & Andrade “Cien” Almas

Hurray, Andrade “Cien” Almas is also not dead and HURRAY Mustafa Ali is in the main event of SmackDown!

If he can become a full-time competitor for SmackDown, then he has a chance of getting the WWE Championship, which would be awesome. It would be nice to see a massive shake-up in the WWE Championship division. (Can the same be done with the Universal Title please 😛 )

The finish came when Ali hit a 054 to Byran (but hit the wrong part of Bryan) but Ali pinned Bryan for the victory.

And that is it from SmackDown. Good episode and very surprised to see Ali winning and that Almas, Gallows, Anderson & Sanity is not dead.
