So about last night... RAW (31/12/2018)

So about last night… it is the New Year’s Eve edition of Monday Night RAW which was pre-recorded as they didn’t want to broadcast live on the day!
So with this in mind, this might be the same as last weeks episode of RAW. Let’s see what’s happening!
Introduction
The show started off with a Wrestling match and it was the Steel Cage match that Vince Mahon talked about last week on RAW.
The finish came when McIntyre delivered two Claymore’s to Ziggler for the victory.
Burn it all down, Seth.
Seth Rollins comes out to talk about his rematch against Dean Ambrose for the Intercontential Championship but Triple H has something else in mind. He came down and reminded Seth that there is no ‘Automatic Rematches’ for title shots and that he has to earn his opportunity.
The two got into a heated verbal battle that allowed Seth to put his foot down for him to become the next Intercontinental Champion or the next Universal Champion if Brock Lesnar ever shows up again.
Before it spilled out any further Shane McMahon arrived and clear the ring for a Battle Royal that would determine Ambrose’s next opponent.
Battle Royal
In this match you had: Dash Wilder, Scott Dawson, Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder, Finn Balor, Baron Corbin, Apollo Crews, Titus O’Neil, Tyler Breeze, Mojo Rawley, Kalisto, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, Konnor and Viktor – The winner would face Dean Ambrose.
With bodies flying out the arena, it came down to just Zack Ryder (who had his first match on RAW in 2018 (On the last day no less)), Curt Hawkins (Who could have lost his losing streak), Baron Corbin & Apollo Crews.
Corbin took care for the former Edge Heads before Crews hitting the former General Manager elect with two enziguris for the victory. Apollo Crews with a title opportunity!
Sasha Banks & Bayley vs The Riott Squad.
Nothing match here. Please just make the Women’s Tag Team Titles a thing, WWE. Thank you!
Seth vs Lashley
As pointed out from earlier in the show, Triple H put Seth Rollins in a match with Bobby Lashley. The match was thrown out in favor of Lashley, as Rollins hit the former ECW champion with a steel chair. He also Stomped on Lio Rush for added measure (Please go away….)
Jinder, Singh, Slater, GORE!
Nothing match here. Jinder Mahal & The Singh Brothers win in a handicap match over Rhyno & Heath Slater.
Apollo Crews vs Dean Ambrose
Great to see Crews getting a title opportunity and hopefully this begins a phase of him getting pushed on the main roster. He didn’t win against Ambrose. Ambrose hits him with the Dirty Deeds after Crews attempted to hit the Lunatic Fringe with the Splash (Which is a thing of beauty by the way)
Crews is very underutilized and he deserves to be higher up on the roster. Let’s hope 2019 is better to Crews!
Ronda & Natty vs Tamina and Nia Jax
Nothing much to say here, other than this match was the main event of the show which in my eyes is very very good!
Ronda taps out Tamina with the Armbar to wrap up RAW in 2018.
Overall, not a great show, but a safe one as it was pre-recorded. Hopefully this means that 2019’s RAW shows are better than this week
