So about last night... RAW (21/01/2019)

So about last night… RAW has a fairly decent episode that seems to be building towards Elimination Chamber but before that, we have the Royal Rumble on Sunday and the ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA begins!

Anyway, let’s have a look at the show from last night.

We start with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar hyping up their match on Sunday! Vince appears to tell the story of David vs Goliath. Braun Strowman appears followed by Brock’s opponent on Sunday, Finn Bálor.

Vince then makes a match between Braun Strowman and Finn Bálor.
Match was thrown out when Bálor was caught by Brock Lesnar, he delivered a classic F5.

This was utter cringe, but it is good to see Apollo Crews getting some push. Lashley won.

A moment of Bliss

Alexa Bliss had Nia Jax on her ‘talk-show’ to discuss the Royal Rumble match on Sunday. Nikki Cross, Ember Moon, Mickie James, Dana Brooke, Riott Squad and Tamina all came out and had a scuffle that went through Gorilla and then out the back.

Alexa standing perplexed with the whole thing announces that she will be entering the Royal Rumble match. This would be Alexa’s first in-ring match since October 20th 2018.

Then Lacey Evans comes out and declares herself as part of the Royal Rumble match.

Heavy Machinery had a match this week against The Ascension. Heavy Machinery wins. Of course they did…

Gable & Roods vs The Revival

RAW Tag Team Championship on the line as The Revival have a 2nd chance at gold…One week removed from them requesting their release.

Curt Hawkins was special guest referee which is not a bad thing to be honest, it’s the most work that he has had on RAW in the last few months.

After 3 dirty pin attempts from The Revival, Gable & Roode retain their titles. Not happy with the referees decision, The Revival attacked Curt Hawkins before his long time friend, Zack Ryder came out for the save. Is this the reunion of the former Tag Team Champions? We shall see!

Main Event!

A tag team match before the big women’s main event on Sunday, it’s:
Ronda Rousey & Natalya vs The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection.

Finish of the match came when Sasha put Natty in a Bank Statement for the submission victory.

As the show goes off air, they [Ronda & Sasha] can’t be pulled apart by their partners ahead of Sunday’s match!

And that is RAW, not a bad show and it’s starting to build up some storylines!
