Roman Reigns relinquishes his Universal Title

On last night’s very emotional episode of Monday Night RAW, Universal Champion Roman Reigns opened the show.

He opened the show dressed in casual clothing stating that his name is Joe and that he had been battling Leukaemia for the last 11 years and that it recently returned.

As he cannot be a ‘fighting champion’ during his period of recovery, he has relinquished himself of the Universal Championship.

He left the title inside the ring and proceeded up the ramp where he met his Shield partners, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.

At WWE Crown Jewel, Brock Lesnar will take on Braun Strowman for the now vacant Universal Championship on November 2nd!
