NXT TakeOver: 31 PPV Predictions

Tonight is the 31st TakeOver event under the NXT brand and comes with 4 title matches!

• KUSHIDA vs The Velveteen Dream
  • PREDICTION: I hope this is the start of a push for KUSHIDA and I hope he moves up to the Cruiserweight Championship picture while Dream takes on Dexter Lumis. KUSHIDA to win!.

• Santos Escobar (C) vs Isaiah “Swerve” Scott for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship
  • PREDICTION: Santos and his gang are way too powerful. Hopefully he can hold the title until Devlin is back and they can have a big match. Santos to retain.

• Damian Priest (C) vs Johnny Gargano for the NXT North American Championship
  • PREDICTION: One part of me wants Damian to retain, but the other part wants Johnny to take the title which would influence the NXT Women’s Championship match between his wife Candice and Io. I feel a change could be in the air…. Johnny to win the title.

• Io Shirai (C) vs Candice LeRae for the NXT Women’s Championship
  • PREDICTION: I feel that there is going to be a bigger story between Candice and Tegan Nox which might happen at a bigger takeover (Like Royal Rumble Weekend or ‘Mania Weekend). Io’s reign hasn’t been all that memorable, so hopefully she get’s a 2nd run down the line. Candice to win.

• Finn Bálor (C) vs Kyle O’Reilly
  • PREDICTION: It’s hard for me to go against the Irish, so with Bálor winning, it should hopefully allow us to get another Bálor vs Cole match or perhaps Bálor vs Ciampa. I would like to see some hot potato action with the championship until Karrion Kross is back from injury.
