Hana Kimura passes away at 22.

In what has seem like an unbelievable week in the world of Professional Wrestling, I am sad to report about the death of Hana Kimura.

A STARDOM mainstay, a legend in the company at such a young age was taken away due to suicide.

Details of her death are scarce at time of writing, but according to a now-deleted tweet, she said the following:

Nearly 100 frank opinions every day. I couldn’t deny that I was hurt. I’m dead. Thank you for giving me a mother. It was a life I wanted to be loved. Thank you to everyone who supported me. I love it. I’m weak, I’m sorry. I don’t want to be a human anymore. It was a life I wanted to be loved. Thank you, everyone. I love you. Bye.

Some have speculated that ‘fans’ got angry at her for being angry towards a housemate on Netflix’s reality show, Terrace House. Hana was angry at this housemate as they apparently ‘ruined’ her gear that she wore for her match at Wrestle Kingdom 14 back in January.

Wrestlers have reacted to this news of Hana’s passing including former opponent and friend, Bea Priestley.

Translation on this tweet appears to be off by a bit, but from what I can gather:

I feel like I can’t do it anymore.
The beautiful and talented girl’s brilliant future has disappeared.
She was 22 years old and should have shone more in the future.
I don’t think I would have wanted to make that choice alone, but it breaks my heart to think that it was so hard for me to have to do so.
